367 species from 46 genera and 3 tribes of Lixinae are recorded for the fauna of Inner Asia. The faunal composition is composed mainly of four genera, Stephanocleonus Motsch. (3 3 %), Lixus F. (1 7 %), Larinus. Dej. (8 %) and Conorhynchus Motsch. (7 %). Species of the genera Adosomus Est., Asproparthenis Gozis, armorial's Motsch., Coniocleonus-Motsch., Mecaspis Schoenh., Pochyceras Schoenh., Pseudocleonus Chevr. and Temnorhinus Chevr. represents only 18 % of the fauna, and those of the remaining 34 genera only 17 %. The Inner Asian Lixinae fauna consists of West Inner Asian and East Inner Asian faunal subgroups. The West Inner Asian subgroup is centred on the Middle-Asia and the East Inner Asian subgroup is subdivided into six basic groups: Central-North-East-Mongolian, Mongol(N)-Priargun-Ononian, Transbaicalian, Altai(S-E)-Tuvanian, Mongol-Altai-Tuvanian, and Chui-Gobi-Altaic. The similarity between west and east Asian faunal groups is extremely low (Ks = 0.19).
