The new species for the Swiss fauna is widespread from Central Asia to Eastern Europe. Since 1972 a presumably accidentally introduced founder population is known from France in the Maritime Alps. We report and discuss the first findings from Switzerland that most likely represent range expansions from populations of the species in France. Furthermore, an overview of the presently known records of this invasive species in south-western Europe is provided.
