Weevils of the genus Omobaris MARSHALL are recorded from Japan and Taiwan for the first time with descriptions of three new species: O. chloranthae sp. nov., O. parvula sp. nov. and O. hisamatsui sp. nov. A key to the known species is provided. Host association with Chloranthus (Chloranthaceae) of a paleoherb, one of the basal lineages of angiosperms is suggested in addition to the known association with orchids.
