The well-known banana weevil, Cosmopolites sordidus is an insect with nocturnal habits; hiding during the day in the soil and plant remains. In the present work, the damage caused by this weevil in the pseudo-trunks of the culture is evaluated, as is the efficacy of five different food and sexual traps. The trap "Cosmotrack" was the most efficient in the capture of C. sordidus adults.
